amazing! how did you make such convincing colors on pure black backgrounds? did you use multiple layers and pained over it? did you change the color balance? i am hoping to learn, so if you could give me a few pointers? i really love your work
Thanks Guy! Yeah...lots of different layer manipulation. I start the final image by laying the black and white sketch on a 'soft-light' layer and building color under that(not 'Multiply' or 'Overlay).
I have all the source files at work still. I'll see if I can put something together that will make a little more sense. You've hit the nail on the head...getting rid of the black(K-tone) is very important... otherwise you end up with mud.
